Eyebrow Waxing, Tinting & Lift

by Kamila Beauty Studio

Accentuate Your Eyes With Your Brows

Eyebrow waxing, tinting, and lift are the steps you need to consider to enhance your natural brows. Eyebrows are one of a person’s most prominent facial features. They help accentuate the eyes, shape the face, and play a powerful role in communication. They may be one of the most important factors in creating a perfectly made-up face.

If you are tired of using eyebrow products every morning, there are many ways to enhance your natural beauty. Eyebrow Lift, tint, and waxing are some of them. At Kamila Beauty Studio, I offer eyebrow treatments that can help you get the brows that you always wanted. Forget the hassle to put on make-up for a while and cut your preparation time. Your eyebrows will look stunning for weeks.

As there are no one-size-fits-all services with your eyebrows beauty, I have different protocols and services to make your wish come true.

Yumi Brow Lift

Yumi Brow Lift is a full eyebrow protocol for fuller, thicker, and better-shaped brows. It is recommended for women looking for a brow lifting treatment dedicated to eyebrows with unruly, rigid downward growth or with thin or sparse eyebrow hair.

This semi-permanent treatment will not only tame your brows but it will keep them in your desired shape for 6-8 weeks. You must have eyebrow hair for the treatment to work.

The steps in this treatment strengthen and add volume into each brow hair. It enhances brows by thickening, volumizing, texturizing, and then sealing the cuticle of the brows for lasting results. Yumi brows include tinting and I have four colors to choose from for blondes and brunettes. You can retouch the tint after 2-4 weeks if you need to.

Brow Architecture

The process involves cleaning, shaping, and tinting brows using natural henna.

Henna naturally tints the brow hairs and the skin underneath to provide shape and fullness that lasts up to two weeks depending on skin types.

Depending on what you’ve tweezed or waxed away, it might take a few appointments to get your brows to a shape that’s best for you based on the slope and bone structure of your face.

During the appointment, you will lay down comfortably so I can properly assess the slope and bone structure of your face. Brows are then shaped with an emphasis on the bone structure of the brow, also known as the orbital bone.

Eyebrow Tinting

Brow tinting is the application of semi-permanent dye to enhance, shape, and define your brows.

Brow tinting works to darken and enhance the brows, creating the appearance of brows that are fuller, thicker, and darker. Brow tinting service works on all skin types, tones and hair colors, and is designed for sensitive skin.

You will get brows that are long-lasting, time-saving, and low-maintenance.

Tints used at Kamila Beauty Studio last for up to 6 weeks depending on hair growth and your lifestyle. The tint will fade away naturally after some time.

Eyebrow Waxing

Brow waxing is a quick, gentle, and long-lasting method of defining the shape of your brows. This treatment only takes a few minutes.

Regrowth takes several weeks and unwanted brow hair becomes thinner, weaker, and lighter with multiple treatments.

I will work to ensure that your brows are symmetrical, defined, and enhanced. Before starting the waxing process, I will talk with you to achieve the brows that you desire.

At the end of your treatment, I will apply a soothing gel that will soothe the skin and reduce redness.

Eyebrow Waxing Informations

Avoid an eyebrow waxing the same day of an event.

Be aware that the skin around your eyebrows will be red for a little while after waxing. If you have sensitive skin, redness could potentially last for a few hours. To play it safe, get an eyebrow waxing about three days before any event so that you have plenty of time to heal.

Your eyebrows may qualify for a little trim too.

Before starting with the waxing process of your eyebrows, I may need to trim your eyebrow hairs. To do so, I use a small scissor to trim long hairs. So don’t be afraid if you see a pair of trimmers.

Your eyebrow hairs need to be long enough.

Just like every other area of your body that can get waxed, the hairs of your brow need to be long enough so that the wax can take hold. It may be frustrating to wait three weeks in between appointments while the stray hairs are growing, but you won’t be able to wax hairs that are too short.

With time, it hurts less.

Removing eyebrow hairs from the root over time will result in hair growing back thinner and slower. Every time you go for an eyebrow waxing, it will hurt less because the hairs won’t be as thick as they used to be. Ultimately, there is less to remove too. You also won't have to go as often because your eyebrow hairs grow back slower.

When should you avoid eyebrow waxing?

If you are using or have used Retin-A, Tetracycline, or Accutane, eyebrow waxing cannot be performed; tweezing is recommended.

Also if your face was exposed to UV rays for extended periods of time, you need to wait for at least three to seven days before you can get your eyebrows waxed. It is also recommended to wait at least two weeks after a chemical peel before being waxed again.

If you take blood thinners, have diabetes, phlebitis, or if you have a chronic condition like lupus, AIDS, or any other disease that compromises the skin barrier, eyebrow waxing cannot be performed. Lastly, you should never get waxed if you're undergoing cancer therapy such as chemotherapy or radiation.

If you recently drank a lot of caffeine or alcohol your skin can be extra sensitive to waxing as both of these stimulants can cause water retention and subsequently leave skin more red or inflamed than usual.

Yumi Brow Lift Information

Am I a good candidate for the brow lamination procedure?

The Brow Lift Lamination procedure is fantastic for all hair types! For those looking to tame "unruly" and curly brows or stubborn cowlicks within the brows.

It is also great for those of you lusting for sleeker, fuller, more symmetric, and vibrant looking brows, as it will also hold straight brow hairs in place, creating the look of a uniform hair pattern.

This treatment is not recommended for people who have:

  • Scratches

  • Burns

  • Scars

  • Contamination

  • Skin conditions

  • Inflammation

  • People with allergies

  • Reactions with cosmetics

  • Henna and/or with semi-permanent tattooing.

If you have any of the above near the eye area, you are not a candidate for the treatment.

Brow Lamination may not be performed on brows that have had henna, at-home hair color, or men’s at-home dyes within the last 6 months.

How long does the brow lamination procedure take?

Brow Lamination application and processing takes approximately one hour and can be booked as an individual service or combined to a brow tinting and/or a full brow shaping to complete your look.

Is there any brow lamination aftercare?

For the first 24-hours following your Brow Lamination treatment, please do not:

  • Wet or rub your eyebrows

  • Apply any cream or oils around the eyebrow area

  • Apply any makeup on the brows

  • Go to the sauna, or take a steamy shower

  • Sweat excessively

  • Expose your face to steam while cooking
